Young Investigator Award nomination form (deadline July 8th):
The "Young Investigator Award" (YIA) of the Dutch Society for Human Genetics (NVHG) is awarded to a young, talented researcher who has completed their PhD. With this award, the NVHG aims to highlight, stimulate, and support young researchers, potential group leaders, and help them build a strong CV (which happened to many previous YIA winners). The award includes a prize of €500 and is presented during the annual NVHG symposium.
YIA nominations must meet the following requirements:
Nominations may be submitted in Dutch or English
The PhD thesis of the nominated candidate must either have recently been approved by the PhD reading committee or the nominated candidate must have defended their dissertation within the last 12 months (i.e. after April 1st 2023)
The nominated candidate does not need to be a member of the NVHG
Nominations can only be made by members of the NVHG
An NVHG member can nominate only one candidate
Self-nomination is not allowed
To avoid potential conflicts, members of the selection committee cannot make nominations
